Monday Motivation - Thank You for Your Generosity!

This past Saturday, we celebrated life and raised money for a wonderful organization called Stuff the Sleigh. Thanks to your generosity, we raised almost $3,700. This money will go to helping kids with cancer and their families.

I hope you got the chance to talk to Dana, General Manager at Stuff the Sleigh. She was the woman organizing the ice baths, which everyone who took the plunge seemed to enjoy!! Dana can share stories with you about the ways they help families in need.

In my conversation with her, I learned I had no idea about the random (yet vital) expenses families incur. When your kid needs treatments, you may need to pay for parking, hotel room, eating out, coffee, snacks, Wifi, and electronic devices for your other kids.

This is on top of the emotional toll parents and siblings encounter.

Am I a good parent if my other kids can't play sports because we don't have the time?

Will I get fired if I always have to take off work to get my kid treatment?

Am I a good brother or sister if I want to play with my friends instead of going to the hospital?

Our motivation this week is to give other people grace. You likely don't understand what else is going on in their lives.

The person who cut you off in the school drop-off line...

the bus driver who is running late...

the co-worker who isn't doing their fair share of the project.
